The party continues at the Houston Livestock & Rodeo to commemorate the Black Wineo’s first year serving as a Rodeo Uncorked Wine judge for the 21st Annual International Wine Competition. Meet me in the Champion Wine Garden on March 12th for the ultimate pregame before the Bun B All-American Takeover concert. Entry is FREE with your concert or grounds ticket. Guests will enjoy live music wine samples and charcuterie while they last. The wine list will feature some Texas-grown, personal favorite award-winning wines from the International wine competiton. After attempting a communal experience with wineos in 2020 with the Clink Up, we’re back to kickoff a second attempt in 2023. Join the Black Wine-O & SERCA Wines for a special 6-flight tasting of their latest vintages from Los Chacayes and Desierto de La Valle in Argentina. Enjoy an afternoon on the patio with the Black Wineo for the first installment of The Clink Up, a bi-monthly gathering of wine enthusiast looking to expand their palate, social circle and wine collections. The winemakers for SERCA Wines, Mariana Onofri and Pablo Matorell, will be showcasing wines only available in the SERCA wines tasting room. This is an informal tasting and guests will have the ability to move throughout the tasting stations. A Holiday Wine Pairing Dinner benefiting St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital. This intimate three-course dinner will be paired with exquisite wine hand-picked by certified Sommelier Cornelius Anthony.

Anthony, who is based in Houston, is the owner of Demousse Sparkling Wine Club and Sommelier at Bravery Wine Bar.

The three-course meal will be prepared by Chef Eian Woodward.

The Come-Up Houston is an art installation that honors Black culture and artistry produced by an all-woman collaborative of Imani Rose of Sexface Cosmetics and Sonja Sonier of Body Lift Houston. Each room highlights the beauty, brilliance and resilience of Black art and its diverse works. The Black Wine-O will join forces with this collaborative on Friday, December 4th from 5-8pm providing a public wine tasting of 4 wines featured on the 25 Wines of Christmas Holiday Gift Guide.
